Bali Escapade: Third day on island of the Gods.

Our program for the third day was:

Checking out Nusa Dua beach which is located at Sanur, which is between 20-30 minutes from Legian, where we stayed. Afterwards, visiting the Turtle Sanctuary at Bali Turtle Island. This one needs around 30 minutes boat ride from Nusa Dua Beach. Last but not least, visiting the Tanah Lot temple at Tabanan, 30 km from Denpasar. Tanah Lot means ‘land in the sea’ in Balinese language. Bali has seven sea temples and Tanah Lot is one of them. Next to it there is another temple which is called Pura Batu Balong. I was so excited for our third day not only because I finally get to see the holy Tanah Lot temple, but because it was ,my birthday, too. I gotta say, it was the best birthday ever.

Bali Escapade: Second day in Paradise.

Our itinerary for the second day was: Watching the Barong and Kris Dance at Kesiman, Denpasar – Visiting the Sari Amerta Batik factory, followed by a stop at a silver factory/gallery, where every silver jewellery is beautifully hand-crafted. Then, we proceed to Kintamani to see Mount Batur, an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas, north west of Mount Agung. Next to it is Lake Batur, the largest crater lake in Bali. The view was spectacular.

Afterwards, we continue our journey to Wedang Sari Agro Wisata ( agro-tour) and I get to taste different types of coffee, which is a great experience, since I am a coffeeholic. ;p. They also produce spices and other natural products too. On our way back to Legian, we stopped at Tegalalang, to witness the amazing rice terrace (while shopping for souvenir) and made a pit stop at Dewa Putu Toris art gallery. It is a studio of artist painting combined with a Balinese Traditional House and it has the most beautiful painting I’ve ever seen. Too bad we weren’t allowed to take a photo inside the gallery.

Our tour for that day ends at Dewa Putu Toris gallery and we had a nice dinner of Indonesian cuisine, before went back to our hotel.

I just finished watching a movie titled She’s Out of My League and I fall in love with a song by Hall & Oates, Kiss on My List played in that movie. I didn’t know this song, but thought it was kind of familiar because the same song was in the movie You Again! Instantly, I hit search for this song in You Tube and the lyrics and I couldn’t stop singing!

I love,love,love vintage photo effects. Therefore, during this holiday, I’ve been learning and trying to do vintage effects on my photos. This is one of them and which I considered quite OK. Hey, I’m a newbie, so give me more time to learn and master this technique alright?;)

Serikin Trip..

I went for a shopping spree to Serikin with my family last Saturday. I was actually my mum’s idea because she hasn’t been to Serikin for a very long time. She’s been asking me to bring here there since end of last year but I always couldn’t comply to her request due to a lot of reasons. and I felt guilty for her because of that. We went with my two brothers also because they have never been to Serikin before. I didn’t buy any thing for myself because I already had my shopping time last December 2010. It was my mum who did all the buying and me and my bros did all the carrying for her stuff. Meanwhile, I managed to take some photos and couldn’t be more happier to put it here!

Chinese New Year Eve and His birthday

Today’s is special because:

It is the last day that I have to sit alone in my office, getting goosebumps every time I hear sounds that comes from various things. (Suddenly I find the air conditioner can be quite scary) T____T ……because tomorrow is PUBLIC HOLIDAY! Oooh yess! (Chicken dance). It’s going to be a long holiday (4 days) due to Chinese New Year celebration, plus the weekend. OMG, what am I gonna do, haven’t thought about it yet.(gulp) but surely I won’t let it go to waste without any productive activities..(Shopping is a productive activity whaaattt…) ;p

Today is my significant other’s birthday! Happy Birthday,my dear. Sorry I haven’t got you any gifts yet, will post it to you soon……..Once I have figured out what it is. ———-> Please jangan pandang saya dengan keji ye.I know.I’m a bad girlfriend because I haven’t bought him any birthday present yet even though it is his birthday. The truth is..i’m running out of idea of what to give him.We have been dating for so long that I already gave him a long list of presents that I can afford. Yang x dapat afford tu, jangan cerita la..huhu. Anyway, I already think of something to give him. And I’m going for a hunt tomorrow with the hope that he will ~~like~~ love it.

Bad day..

End of January. and I am all alone in my office because 6 of my colleagues who occupy this office are Chinese and therefore they are already on their holiday. Anyway, thats not the point. What I want to write about is how today could be one of the most ‘sucky’ day of my life as a working woman.

First, I woke up late this morning, at 7.08 am; HALF-AN-HOUR late than the time which I normally wake up during work days! Luckily, the road is quite clear because the schools are already on holiday for the Chinese New Year festival, so that leaves me with the opportunity to cilok sana sini ( I got honked by a car also but thats not entirely my fault, I did give a SIGNAL, just that driver wants to exaggerate the situation) while driving to get to the office before 8.00 am. Well..that didnt happen because I arrived at the punch card machine at 8.02 am (damn that traffic light!).
Secondly, I got into some mess with a veteran admin lady which is popular for her laser-mouth regarding some miscommunications on the task that I shouldn’t do but-had-to-do. She said that I am ‘one step ahead’ and didnt do the task according to the correct procedure. (Actually that one step ahead thing is not so bad, it shows that I am super efficient.haa!). This incident dampened my mood for the entire day and now I learned that I should be smarter in handling tasks that does not belong to my job scope. In other word, DO NOT ACCEPT ADMIN TASKS THAT ADMIN PERSON ASKS YOU TO DO WHEN IT IS CLEARLY HIS/HER JOB!!.

Because no matter how veteran he/she is or how new you are in the organisation. Because when something goes wrong, it’s like a fight that u cannot win.

Enough said.
I can’t wait to go home to my cats and shrugged this bad day off my mind.(Sigh)
